Modulab International Expansion
Systelab's Modulab 2.0 Laboratory Information System (LIS) for clinical laboratories continues to gain traction in new markets.
Recent successful implementations include the the Policlinico Tor Vergata, the largest hospital in Rome, Italy. Also in 2011 the first implementation in Panamá, in Central America, took place at the pediatric hospital "Hospital del Niño". Also in October the system was implemented in two hospitals in Honduras.
Returning back to Europe, new contracts were signed with the Clinical Laboratory of the Vatican City and Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals in the United Kingdom. Both sites will be coming on line soon, with implementation in Doncaster & Bassetlaw to be finished in a first phase by year-end 2011.
Returning to Latin America, the largest hospital group in Chile, the Red Salud UC, from the Hospital Universidad Catolica, signed a contract to purchase and implement Modulab in its 4 laboratory testing centers across the country. Also in November the first installation of Modulab in Chile went live, at the Hospital de Maule in the south of the country.
More international expansion in new markets is the order of the day with Modulab and we will be publishing more news soon!
